CHRISTMAN OBITUARIES
Arthur Christman


                   Arthur Christman, of Main Street
              this city, died Thursday at 11 a.m.
              in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Phil-
              adelphia.  Death was due to an in-
              curable disease.
                   Born in this city on February 4, 
              1898, he was 35 years olf.  He was 
              the son of Esulas and the late Han-
              nah Christman, of Aurora Street.
                   He is survived by one son Car-
              son, of Allentown; two brothers, 
              Norman this city, and Edgar, New-
              ark, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace
              Kinder and Mrs. Mildred Hildman,
              both of Newark, N.J.
                   The funeral will be held Sunday
              at 2 p.m. from the funeral home
              of Mrs. Mary E. Brickel, 118 West
              Fairview Street.

Mrs. Esaias D. Christman


Hannah F. nee Hinnershitz, wife of
Esaias D. Christman, died at 11 p.m.
on Tuesday, at her late residence,
1422 Iron Street, aged 52 years, 4 
months and 14 days.  She was born
on July 21st 1870, a daughter of
John and Fietta Roth Hinnershitz.
She leaves her husband and five chil-
dren--three sons, Arthur S. and Ed-
gar at home and Norman S. of this
City, and two daughters, Millie, of
New Jersey and Grace N. at home;
also by two brothers and two sis-
ters, Edgar and William, of Bethle-
hem, and Mrs. Thomas Lorish, of
Allentown, and Mrs. Harvey Heim-
bach, of Rittersville, and a grand-
child, Carson Christman.  The funeral
will take place on Sunday, at 1:30
p.m. with short services at the
home followed by regular services in
Ebenezer church, Mennonite Breth-
ron in Christ, Main and Durham
Streets.  Interment will be made in 
the family plot in Fairview cemetery.
