Computer Nerd Nearly!! Here is a legendary conversation between a technical representative for a major computer manufacturer and a concerned caller:
TECHIE: "How can I help you?"
CALLER: "The cup holder on my computer is broken. How can I get it fixed?"
TECHIE: "Cup holder?"
CALLER: "Yes, it's attached to my computer."
TECHIE: "Is this a promotional item you received at a trade show?"
CALLER: "No. It came with my computer."
TECHIE: "Can you describe it to me? Where on your computer is it?"
CALLER: "It's on the front of my computer. When I push the button it comes .................out. Its got 4x written on it."
By now the techie had to mute the caller to hide his laughter. He realized that the caller had used the load drawer of the CD ROM drive as a cup holder and it had snapped off.
Supposedly, this is a true story.
