Devotion #4:
"Helping Hands"

"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might." Ecclesiastes 9:10

Can you trace your hands on a piece of paper? Have Mom help you do this. Then you can hang your paper up and write the words, "God's helping hands."

What fun things have you done with your hands today?

Have you played with toys today? I bet you used your hands to play, didn't you! Hands can be used for lots of fun activities. You can stack blocks, color a picture, or dress your doll.

What helpful things have you done with your hands today?

Did you help clean your bedroom today or help Mom pick up your toys? Hands can be very helpful can't they. You can use your hands to help around your home. You can help clean your dishes after a meal or help Mom or Dad fold laundry. Hands are very useful when it comes to helping someone.

Did you use your hands today to show someone that you love them? Hands are wonderful to wrap around Mom or Dad's neck and give them a GREAT BIG HUG!!! I bet you feel great when you are hugging others with your hands. It also feels pretty good when someone else gives you a hug too doesn't it!

Did you know that God made your hands special JUST FOR YOU! God gave you your hands to do special things to show Jesus' love to other people.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your hands can be Jesus' helping hands!
You can use your hands to share toys with other boys and girls!
Use your hands to create a picture fingerpainting.
Use your hands to show someone you love them today!
Use your hands to help a neighbor or friend today. Do something unexpected for someone you care about.
Use your hands to create a picture of what your helping hands look like today. Just dip your hands in tempora paint and then press your hand onto a sheet of paper. Mom or Dad can help you label your "Masterpiece." Maybe you could use your helping hands to mail this picture of your hands to a relative.
