Donald J. Armstrong

Donald J. Armstrong, 61, of St. Peter's Ave., Rome, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 1994, in Rome Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 4.

He was born in Camden, NY, on May 27, 1932, a son of Curtis and Delia Baker Armstrong. A graduate of the Camden High School, he served with the U. S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He retired from the Harden Furniture Company in June of 1993 as a lift driver after 27 years. On Dec. 17, 1955, he married Priscilla Woodcock in Camden. She died May 17, 1982.

Surviving are two sons, Mickey Armstrong, of Rome, and Rodney Armstrong, of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Oscar (Laura) Hamner, of Camden; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at the Sanborn-McDaniels & LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Camden, NY. Spring burial in Forest lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home, 109 Main St.
