Lines on Death of Grandma Rush
Some one close the eyelids gently,
For dear grandma's gone to rest;
O, how hard she had to suffer,
They who cared for her know best.
She was patient in her illness,
But few murmurs did we hear;
She did long to meet her Savior,
Yes, to meet her Savior dear.
Grandma loved her children dearly,
Pleased to see them all each day;
But she's gone from us forever,
Jesus called her soul away.
She has gone to meet her Maker,
Where she'll be forever more,
And for us she will be waiting
On that golden happy shore.
We should weep not for dear grandma,
For she's left this world of care,
And she's gone to be with Jesus,
Where His peace and joy she'll share.
May we always keep in mem'ry,
And remember it with care,
That we all might love and serve Him,
Always was her fervent prayer.
