Horace J. Rush died at three o'clock this morning, at his home in Union street, after an illness
lasting about a year. Until three months ago he was able to be about his work at the Dana
factory.
Mr. Rush was born in this village June 29, 1865, a son of Jacob and Amelia Howd Rush. October 30,
1889, he was united in marriage with Lena Grant. Camden has always been his home except for five
years spent in Poughkeepsie and Peekskill.
Mr. Rush was well known in this town and had won a large number of lasting friendships. He was a
sash and door maker and until the factory was destroyed by fire, continued the business which
his father established at the foot of Third street. For several years past he has been employed
at the Dana factory. He was an attendant of the Congressional church.
The deceased is survived by his wife, and a half sister, Mrs. Charles Wunsch of this village.
The funeral will be held at the home in Union street Sunday afternoon, at two o'clock, Rev.
C. S. MacLowell officiating. Burial will be made in Forest Park Cemetery.
