At 10 o'clock yesterday morning occurred the death of James C. Price of heart disease, at his
home on Mexico street. Mr. Price was born in Ireland, September 22, 1846, and came to America
in 1849 with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Price, who came directly to this town,
where he has since lived. He was of a quiet disposition, honest, faithful, earnest and loyal to
his family and friends. He was one to whom a young man might look with pride as a model. His
character will always be his hrandest monument, more beautiful than the scuptured marble. He was
blessed with a lofty independence of character which he alsays maintained and which to the end
of his life was never for one moment lowered. In early manhood he was married to Miss Jean
Lambie, and this union was blessed with three children, Mrs. Lillian Perkins, Frank J. and R.
Charles Price all of this town, who are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father and
to them is extended the heartfelt sympathy of all who knew him.
The funeral will be attended at his home at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Jabez Ford to officiate.
