continuous residence in DePere since 1873. She was seventy-three years and nearly seven months
old when she passed away. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
residence of C. G. Wilcox, N. Wisconsin street, Rev. H. A. Talbot officiating, assisted by Rev.
H. E. Early of the Presbyterian church, West Green Bay, who read the scripture passage. Dr.
Talbot delivered a short funeral sermon, touching upon what the Lord is doing for those who are
in the family lot was made. The pall bearers were R. C. French, Frank Woodward, Wm. Kay, C. W.
Scott, Newton Swender and Thos. R. Bowring. Jennie M. Wilcox was born on May 16, 1850, at
Milford, Mich. She was a daughter of Levi Sheldon Wilcox, whose death occurred in 1896, and of
Mrs. Isabel Wilcox, who died in 1911. On Feb. 22, 1872, she was married to Albert S. Fifield at
Camden, N.Y., to which city her parents had moved, and in the summer of 1873, they came to
DePere. Mr. Fifield engaging in the hardware business. Three children were born to them, one
of whom is still living, namely, Leonard S. Fifield of Barnesville, Ga. She is also survived
by two brothers, Chester G. Wilcox of DePere, and John L. Wilcox of Green Bay; by one sister,
Mrs. L. W. Foster, of Green Bay, and by her sister-in-law, Miss Nettie Fifield of DePere. Mr.
Fifield passed away in the summer of 1886. C. G. Wilcox, brother and L. S. Fifield son of Mrs.
Fifield were unable to attend the funeral on account of illness, the former being in St.
Vincent's hospital. All the other relatives were present.
