Following a severe shock April 4, from which she never rallied Mrs. Jean Allen Price, widow of the
late James C. Price, passed away Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Woodard C. Perkins,
third street, where she had made her home since 1923. The end came very peacefully. Prior to the
stroke the deceased had been in usual health, although for a number of months it had been evident she
was gradually failing. She was able to get around and to visit friends in neighboring homes up to
her final illness.
Mrs. Price was the last survivor of the eight children of James and Lucinda Brace Lambie, and was
born January 16, 1848 at the Lambie homestead in Hillsboro, town of Camden, the property now being
the Robert Will Place. Her entire life had been spent in this town. In 1871 she became the wife of
James C. Price and they went to his newly purchased farm on the Mexico road to reside. Mr. and Mrs.
Milliman are now owners of the place, Mrs. Price had lived on the same farm over 50 years. Mr.
Price passed on April 22, 1908.
A woman of splendid character and fine traits the deceased will long be remembered by her friends.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. W. C. Perkins; two sons Charles and Frank both of Camden; six
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. B. A. Walton, pastor of the United church of Camden, conducted the funeral rites held
Tuesday at 2:30 from the Perkins home at which time many friends paid their last tribute of respect.
There were many floral tributes. Bearers were three nephews: William, Claude and Leonard Crenan;
two grandsons, Ray Perkins and Howard Price and Walter Price. Interment was in the family lot in
Forest Park Cemetery.

Leonard Crenan, Mr. Claud J. Crenan, Mrs. Marion Lyons, Mr. Ray W. Perkins, all of Syracuse; Mr.
and Mrs. William Fenton, Chittenango; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Curtiss, Pulaski; Mrs. Ernest Failing,
Mr. and Mrs. John Baker, Utica; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rowell, Rome.
