Christmas is my second favorite holiday of the year. Since I lived in Colorado, I can say that I have had a couple of beautiful white Christmas's. There's nothing like some hot cocoa or some hot apple cidar sipped next to a crackeling fire. I'm not much for winter, and by the time New Years Eve is over, I'm ready for Spring!

 Check out a White Christmas!

I guess you may think that I never had a good Christmas (if you've read about my life) but with the Lord always watching over me, I have always loved Christmas because of what it's all really about. I've always told everyone that I was filled with the "Christmas Spirit."

There's nothing like the joy of watching children rush to see what wonders they recieved. Stockings full of goodies. We all find out soon enough that Santa isn't real. So would it be so terrible not to have him at all? Jesus has given much more than Santa could ever wish to give. Jesus gave me eternal life! You can't get that in a stocking!

I always wondered why we give and get gifts at Christmas time. No one could ever give the same answer.
All I know is, that God gave the greatest gift of all.

The reason for the season.

Little Festive Touches

Having some friends over this holiday
season for some cookies and punch?
Here are a few inexpensive and fun ways
to entertain and decorate your place.

* Pile red and green apples into big bowls.

* Keep a pot of mulled cider or lemony water simmering
the scent will waft through your rooms.

* Wind a strand of tiny white bulbs through your house plants for that festive look.

*  Tie bows to your shade pulls.

* Let your sink do double duty; filled with ice, it's a soft drink cooler;
covered with a cutting board, it's extra serving space.

* Spruce up your flowerpots with big bows,
or wrap them in a piece of fabric tied at the rim with a ribbon.

* Bring out a board game or play Charades.
