Claiborn Parr
Claiborn Parr, the son of Thomas and Mary Parr, was born between 1766 and 1770, possibly in the Carolinas. Claiborn married about 1793 Martha Ivey (or Adams), who was born between 1770 and 1774. Between 1810 and 1820 they moved from Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to Union County, South Carolina where they remained until their deaths. Claiborn wrote
his last will and testament 25 April 1818 in Union County, South
Carolina and it was proved 21 August 1830. Claiborn left the plantation to his wife Martha, during her lifetime or widowhood, with the exception that his son James was to have a horse. Each of the (unnamed) children were to receive a part of the estate as they reached legal age. Thomas Pair and Martha Pair were named as executors. Witnesses were Sherwood Nancy, Willis Walker and Christopher Brandon. The will was signed Claybourn (X) Pair. The value of the inventory of his estate on 31 December 1838 was $2022.50, this inventory was madeby Christopher Brandon, Absolem Ivey, Charner Adams and John Scales. Another inventory was made on 31 December 1838 by Christopher Brandon, John Harris and David Adams, appraisers, this time the value was set at $3325.50. Sale of the property was held 1 January 1839 with Martha Parr buying almost everything. Other buyers included George Ivey, Watus Farr, Joel Adams, Allen Parr, Samuel Harris, Thomas Nance, John Watts, James Parr and John Harris. The sale totaled $1344.00.

1860 in Cherokee County, Alabama. He married Malinda ?? before
1816 probably in Union County, South Carolina. After Malinda's
death in Cherokee County, Alabama on 16 Jul 1859, John married
Mary ?? who was born in Pennsylvania. John and family can be found on the 1820/30/40 census in Union County, South Carolina,
he moved his family to Cherokee County, Alabama sometime between
1840 and 1850 where the 1850 census finds Caroline, Vera and Cornelia as the only children still at home. John and Mary had no children, the children of John and Malinda are:

James Parr, the son of Claiborn and Martha Ivey Parr, was born about 1796 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and died 27 November 1864 in Union County, South Carolina. His will, dated
31 May 1857, was witnessed by W.A.H. Bevell, C.Brandon and J.(I.) Mitchell. The will was proved by Brandon, 5 December 1864, before Columbus Gage, Ordinary. It names his wife Nancy, his son
William P. Parr and his five daughters. (Box 46, Package 27). James married Nancy ?? and their children are:

Mary Parr, the daughter of Claiborn and Martha Ivey Parr, was born about 1809 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and died about 1892 in Union County, South Carolina. About 1829 she married Joel Ivey Adams and their children are:
