Squeaker was our first Florida kitty. We got her through a "Free Kittens" ad in late November, 1992 when she was about 7 weeks old. She spent her first few days in our home playing or sleeping on the sofa next to my hip.

She's never had a normal 'meow', hence the name Squeaker. Her nicknames are Beaker, Deaker, Beakie, and Deakie. Her personality is that of a hunter/killer, stalking and attacking her toys. Her favorite toys are milk jug lids, plastic easter eggs, and especially nail files. When she's done playing with them, she stores them under the kitchen rug.

Squeaker's favorite napping places are on top of the 2 story cat condo that my husband built, in the tunnel, or on the arm of the recliner when I'm sitting there. At night, as soon as she hears us going to bed, she's there demanding to be loved up. She likes to be petted from head to tail, and have her tail held firmly for a few seconds while she tries to get away. When we stop petting her, she trots off to the living room to spend the night on the love seat.

Squeaker's greatest achievement is winning "Best Stripes" in Roscoe's Most Photogenic Feline Contest.
