If I call you friend,

To always be true to you.
As much as I need friends,

To be there whenever you need me.
I may not be there in flesh,

And try to understand your needs.
When you are angry,
I will laugh with you.
As sadness overwhelms you,
We will cry together.
If you feel down and kicked,
I will pick you up and brush away your doubts.
When you think you can't continue,
I will remind you that you can.
As you become discouraged,
I will boost your ego high.
At times when you wish to talk,
My attention will be all yours.
Being a friend I don't take lightly,
It's my desire, never a chore.
At times when you must mourn,
I shall mourn with you.
If you need some silence, yet not be alone,
We will sit together in the peace of quiet.
When you wish to play,
You will always have a playmate.
When you feel on top of the world,
I’ll pat your back and tell you, you deserve to be.
You will never be completely alone,
A piece of me will always be with you.
One thing I can always give,
Is the gift of friendship for you to accept.
Allow our friendship to make you smile,
Bring joy to your life as you have to mine.
When you become confused and lose your way,
Let me guide you in the right direction.
Lean on me when you need support,

Hope
If you can look at the sunset and smile, then you still have hope. If you can find beauty in the colors of a small flower, then you still have hope.
If you can find pleasure in the movement of a butterfly, then you still have hope.
If the smile of a child can still warm your heart, then you still have hope.
If you can see the good in other people, then you still have hope.
If the rain breaking on a roof top can still lull you to sleep, then you still have hope.
If the sight of a rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder, then you still have hope.
If the soft fur of a favored pet still feels pleasant under your fingertips, then you still have hope.
If you meet new people with a trace of excitement and optimism, then you still have hope.
If you give people the benefit of a doubt, then you still have hope.
If you still offer your hand in friendship to others that have touched your life, then you still have hope.
If receiving an unexpected card or letter still brings a pleasant surprise, then you still have hope.
If the suffering of others still fills you with pain and frustration, then you still have hope.
If you refuse to let a friendship die, or accept that it must end, then you still have hope.
If you look forward to a time or place of quiet and reflection, then you still have hope.
If you still buy the ornaments, put up the Christmas tree or cook the turkey, then you still have hope.
If you still watch love stories or want the endings to be happy, then you still have hope.
If you can look to the past and smile, then you still have hope.
If, when faced with the bad, when told everything is futile, you can still look up and end the conversation with the phrase... "yeah....BUT.." then you still have hope
Hope is such a marvelous thing. It bends, it twists, it sometimes hides, but rarely does it break. It sustains us when nothing else can. It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead, when we tell ourselves we'd rather give in.
Hope puts a smile on our face when the heart cannot manage.
Hope puts our feet on the path when our eyes cannot see it.
Hope moves us to act when our souls are confused of the direction.
Hope is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished and nurtured, and something that will refresh us in return.
And it can be found in each of us, and it can bring light into the darkest of places.
Never lose hope!
What is a Best Friend?
Someone who is always there...... in thought if not in person
Someone who doesn't judge and listens with an open mind
Someone who encourages you and doesn't clip your wings
Someone who listens, share, laughs and cries with you
Someone that gives their opinion when asked.........but isn't critical of you
Someone who lets you be you..... and doesn't try to mold you to suit them
A best Friend is a soul mate of sorts..... whether it be spouse or lover
Or someone you have know most of your life or only a brief time
A Best Friend is there for you in so many ways.
And I'm glad I have a very special one!
Blessing to Friendship
Father, I ask you to bless my friend reading this right now!
Lord, show them a new revelation of Your love and power.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.
Where there is pain, give them Your peace & mercy.
Where there is self-doubting, release a renewed confidence in Your ability to work through them.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, patience, & strength as they learn submission to Your leading.
Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You.
Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage.
Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its Hold over my friend's life.
Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders, and friends to support, and encourage them.
Give each of them discernment to recognize the demonic forces around them, and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it.
I ask You to do these things in Jesus' name! In Christian love, Your Friend in Jesus
