Hello!! My name is Barbara Lee and this page tells you a little about myself. This site
was a summer project I put together to provide parents with information about my classroom. It will probably always be under construction in some form or another. I welcome any comments or suggestions. You may contact me by e-mail me at b-lee@ix.netcom.com.

I attended Arizona State University for both my graduate and undergraduate degrees in special education. I hold Arizona K-12 Teaching Certificates in 5 areas: Mild to Moderate Mental Retardation, Emotional Disability, Orthopedic/Health Impairment, Severely & Profoundly Disabled and Early Childhood Special Education. I have also just completed my B.S. degree at Grand Canyon University in human biology (just for kicks). I am entering my 13th year as a special education teacher and truly enjoy my profession.

I spend most of my spare time on the computer --- feeling guilty for not being at the gym. I also enjoy power shopping and a good mystery novel. A great online book store is Amazon Books. I am also an avid classic (black & white) horror movie fan.

**I have Three lovely children Justin, 9, and Caitlin, 8 and Tristan, >1.**
	Justin has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and a gastrointestinal disorder called Psuedo-Obstruction. He receives the majority of his nutrition through tube feedings viaa Bard Button surgically placed in his jejunum. He loves Goosebumps and learning about the actual Titanic. Caitlin is a pretty typical kid. She loves to surf the Net and the movie Titanic, especially the title song "My Heart Will Go On". Caitlin is also a member of the Girl Scouts.

Baby Tristan has colic. A rather trying experience for parents. Some resources that are helping us cope are: Baby Go To Sleep heartbeat lullabies, Pedicaraft Reflux Wedges, and Sleeptight Infant Soother. Fisher Price also makes Sit 'n Sooth Portable Bassinet™and Soothing Bouncer Seat - both gently vibrate and keep baby at a 45 degree angle with a secure strap to help prevent reflux. When he is in a happy mood we watch Teletubbies together and he grins real big.

Tristan enjoys Gymboree play classes.

My husband, Michael, is a Police Detective in the Vice Division with the City of Phoenix. In his spare time he lifts weights and rides his motorcycle. He also enjoys hunting and camping.
