goard ladel scratch
Scratch the goard ladel.

If a wife scratches the dipper, she is henpecking.  Korean water ladels are still made in the shape of a gourd even though the material is now plastic.  It was once believed that scratching on the goard ladel would ward off evil spirits.  Over time the noise also became connected with a nagging wife.

    white eyebrows

The best of the best.  No one can hold a candle to _____.  The person with white eyebrows is not only superiour to his peers, he is so much better than they that there is no comparison.  Michael Jordan is the white eyebrows in the history of the NBA.
The saying originates from a story of five brothers of the Ma or Horse family who lived during Korea's three kingdoms period.  All five brothers became famous for their deeds but Best Horse was far greater than any of his brothers.  He also had white eyebrows from childhood.  The saying began as "White eyes is the best of the five Horse brothers."  Over time it has been applied to anyone or who is amazingly exceptional.
