(Continued)
Many people are unwilling to give up the pursuit of happiness no matter how futile and illogical the chase is. Why? Because their passion for pursuing happiness could be covering up the fact that they live in a chronic state of unhappiness. And who in their right mind is willing to slow down long enough to see if that's true for them.
Think about the following statement for a minute: "If you were already happy would have any need or desire to pursue happiness?"
As children born into this world we were naturally happy and then fell from grace. How did we fall from grace? We fell from grace the moment we believed that pursuing happiness was more important than be-ing happy. After years of pursuing happiness we forgot how to be happy naturally. We forgot how to be happy without needing someone or something to make us happy. We simply forgot!
Just think what it would be like if you simply forgot how to walk and then didn't walk for years. You would have to learn how to walk all over again. Your mission in life is not to pursue happiness but to allow yourself, once again, to be happy naturally and without effort. Can you accept that mission? If you can and someone catches you in the act of being happy for no reason at all, this department will disavow any knowledge of you. This paper will self-destruct in 5 seconds.
