Some women may say "Well, I don't wear fancy clothes or makeup for fix my hair gaudy." But when you look at these women and they have on a pair of shorts or pants can they honestly use that scripture and say that's what their following. I think not. Why doesn't the church preach on modest apparel anymore. You can tell that they don't because women who claim to be Christian dress unmodest and don't think twice about it. I know that the usual cop-out is that we don't want to offend them and stop their growth. The truth of the matter is that the only way they are going to grow is to stop giving them milk and start giving them meat.
Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Mat 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Their was a time when women were ashamed when they didn't dress modestly. The women who did profess godliness dressed modestly. Now the women who are not dressing modestly are professing godliness. Are they confused about what is right and what is wrong or have they even been taught and if they haven't been taught then who's fault is that. We are all taught by the Holy Spirit and their is only one Holy Spirit and he doesn't change his teaching from one person to the next. So if the Holy Spirit taught me what modest apparel is then I know he must have taught other women as well. But too many times I'm seeing so called Christian women who act as if they haven't been taught that yet. There are no excuses for rejecting the Holy Spirit and what He teaches you.
How many women are usurping authority over the man? It's self explanatory.
13. Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
What does the scripture mean by comely? Another word that is not taught in church anymore, which is why you see women in general do things today that are uncomely but people don't think anything about it because it is a behavior that we have accepted to be appropriate. The Bible says contrary to our thinking. When this nation, especially women, realize that they are not lining up with the Word of God and what Jesus himself believed in and on then they shall realize what it means to be a Christian and carry His name.
14. Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
How many men have long hair and brag on it. They are not ashamed. Some may even profess to be Christian. Are they Christian when they don't agree with what the Word of God says. If God said that it was a shame for men to have long hair and they are not ashamed them they are not in agreement. Somebody's wrong and it's not God.
15. But if a women have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
Same thing applies to the women as to the men. If they don't agree with God, their heart is not right with God and they will not grow until they get their heart right. Regardless of what else they may do in their feeble attempts to grow past that point. God gives the food and when he quits giving the food, you stop growing as a Christian.
16. But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
As Christians we are not to be contentious with one another and if you are then your hearts not right with God and again you will not grow. Some Christians will use that as an excuse for their rebellion against the Holy Spirit but the only thing they are doing is admitting to the whole world that they have contention in their heart. Is that something to say and think that you did good because you came back with a verse that's in the Bible.
Pro. 1:7 states that fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Deuteronomy 22:5 - The women shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
I'll let you have this one pastor. I'd like to read what you come up with on this one. Maybe you can point out something I missed when the Holy Spirit taught me every word of this verse and branded it in my heart. I better stop.
