All I Need

All I need is you, Lord. I look here and there, fill my life with this thing and that. What am I searching for? What do I hope to find that will be better than what I need, better than what you have for me?

Your Word tells us that you are the answer to all of our needs. Since I believe that your Word is truth, why don't I rest in you? Why don't I fill all the empty spaces of my heart with you?

Filling my mind with a fantasy relationship with someone who may not be for me has brought me no peace. My heart should be filled with you and the real relationship you want to share with me. In you is a perfect peace that this world and nothing in it can give.

You, Lord, are all I ever need. You want to fill the empty places, give peace to my sometimes frantic mind, walk in a daily relationship with me. As your truths sink deeper into my heart, may I learn to look to you as my all-in-all. Amen.
