THE LAND OF NOD, EAST OF EDEN

East of Eden there is a place
that's called the Land of Nod,
Where dreams abound that
are tended and cared for by
many angels of God.

To go and stay there is not allowed,
but many short trips there be.
It's a place of dreams and illusions,
a place for you and me.

Light and darkness inhabit the place,
all emotions hold sway.
It's a place of tears and laughter,
a place of night and day.

Our mind takes us there in the night time
when all other thoughts are banned.
We go there to sort our problems and joys,
we go to this far off land.

Sometimes we strongly remember,
other times the memory is vague,
But each trip we take can sustain us,
help us deal with a new joy or pain.

This misty land of dreaming we must continue to roam,
to deal with the light and the darkness
that seem to trouble our soul,
until one day the Creator
trumpets and calls us home.
