SALLY: Butch, I don't like the way you and the other boys treated Carlos.
BUTCH: What do you mean, Sally?
SALLY: You and the other boys were mean to him. He just came out to do some skateboarding.
BUTCH: We weren't all that bad to him.
SALLY: Yes you were
BUTCH: Well, they must be poor or something
SALLY: What makes you say that?
BUTCH: Did you see what he was using for a skateboard.?
SALLY: You mean the 2X4 with a pair of skates fastened to it.
BUTCH: Yes. That was crude.
SALLY: You could have shared your skateboard with him. He does have a sister you know.
BUTCH: Does she wear funny clothes too?
SALLY: Butch, don't you remember what dad said last night?
BUTCH: I guess not.
SALLY: Just yesterday he talked about how tennis balls, footballs, bowling balls, and golf balls are all different, but that doesn't make one better than another. And it's the same with people. Right.
BUTCH: Well.......I guess so.
SALLY: The cost of the covering is not the important thing. It is not what makes a ball valuable. And neither does a person's covering or wealth, determine his or her value. Right
BUTCH: I'm beginning to see what you mean.
SALLY: One person can't afford a skateboard and another can't afford a dirt bike. Does that make one better than the other?
BUTCH: No it doesn't. I know you were referring to me and the dirt bike. And I can see what you mean.
SALLY: How about you boys and girls. Do you judge people by the material thinks they have. God doesn't. In fact, He's very specific about the importance of treating all people alike. Bye everybody. Bye Butch. (Butch says goodbye)
