PUPPET SCRIPT

By Louise Ferry

"NEEDED: SMALL LIGHTS"
Luke 16:1-13
PUPPETS: Butch & Sally

BUTCH: Sally, why are you so upset?

    SALLY: Oh, it's mom.

BUTCH: Mom, how did she upset you?

SALLY: She plugged a regular light into the outlet where my night light usually is.

    BUTCH: What's wrong with that?

SALLY: It's too bright to sleep.

BUTCH: I suppose you never figured out what mom was trying to tell you.

SALLY: I didn't know she was trying.

BUTCH: Oh, yes. She had a message for you.

SALLY: What kind of message would it be that required a bright light?

BUTCH: Do you remember how down in the dumps you where when the pastor asked you to invite your friends to our Revival? You wanted something big to do.

SALLY: That's right. Everybody else got an important job and I got to invite my friends. Big deal. But what has that to do with the bright light?

BUTCH: You had problems sleeping with the bright light. Right?

    SALLY: Yes.

BUTCH: So the little night light had a purpose that the big light could not fill. Right?

    SALLY: Yes.

BUTCH: So the little jobs are just as important as the big ones.

SALLY: Oh!!! I see what you mean. I'll invite all my friends, I'll invite my whole class. I'll be a night- light

BUTCH: How about you boys and girls? Maybe you cannot preach a sermon or teach but you can invite your teacher and your classmates to our revival. Whatever God asks you to do, do it for His glory. Bye everyone.

SALLY: Bye, Butch. Bye boys and girls.
