DAD: Sally, have you got anything to say about last night?
SALLY: Well, Dad, I am almost too embarrassed to say anything.
DAD: I thought you might be, Sally. That's good.
SALLY: The youth leaders do so much for us and we show so little appreciation.
DAD: That is surely understating it, Sally.
SALLY: I know. The youth group, including me, left after all the fun and left the mess for the leaders to clean up.
DAD: I know when I picked you up there were no kids left.
SALLY: That's right. They all said they were going to help the youth leaders clean up but they were having so much fun that they continued till their parents picked them up.
DAD: I wish I would have looked in when I picked you up last night instead of just having you come out and get in the car.
SALLY: That might have been better.
DAD: I felt like a bus driver running all over town. We went to the four corners of town and I'm glad we did now. If we hadn't, we would not have passed the church and seen the lights on.
SALLY: As soon as I saw the lights, I knew what was wrong. I felt so guilty. There was the youth leaders cleaning up the mess we had made and which we had promised to clean up.
DAD: It was bad when I saw it and they had been cleaning for a while.
SALLY: I'm glad I apologized to the leaders and help the finish the job.
DAD: That was good and when you promised to do it any time they had a meeting was good also.
SALLY: How about you, boys and girls. Do you enjoy the youth meetings at the church?
DAD: Have you ever thought about all the work involved in planning a party. What do you do to help? In Second Thessalonians chapter 3, verses 6 to 13, it says that those who won't work shouldn't eat either.
SALLY: Yes, Dad and that is true about parties as well as our daily life.
DAD: Next time adults plan a special event for you, tell them "Thank You" and show them you mean it by doing what you can to help. That's what the Lord would want you to do. Bye boys and girls.
SALLY: See all of you later. Bye.
