BROWNIE TROOP #6381

Here we are.... Six Brownies from Alpharetta, Georgia.  We attend Manning Oaks Elem. School, we are all in the second grade.   Alpharetta is a northern suburb of Atlanta.  We are a small troop but we hope to learn and accomplish alot this year.  The reason we wanted to have a web page is to share what we have learned with other  Girl Scouts around the world.   Please meet us and our leaders .  We hope you enjoy our site and visit it often.

Our handmade programs

Invitations

We had our Investiture and Rededication on October 17, 1999.  Miss Heidi, one of our leaders, made a the Brownie symbol out of a styrofoam plate and taped it to a paper roll.  We used it as a stamp with blue ink from a ink pad to stamp  the front of a white invitation. We also stamped around the edge of a white paper tablecloth with this Brownie stamp to use on our refreshment table after the investiture. We invited our families and close friends. The invitations looked really cool.

We also make a poster of our hands traced and cut out of construction paper to form a friendship ring.  Miss Heidi took instant pictures of us and we put them on the poster also.   Banner paper was used to make a large banner of our troop number and a Brownie stencil.  We colored it "Hippie style"  an hung it for the Investiture.
Next we make programs for our guests that looked really colorful.  And each one of us signed our names in each program.

At the Investiture we all remembered our words as we came to the pond.
We sang some Brownie songs for our parents and Miss Heidi and Miss Debbie did their investiture also.  We did the friendship squeeze around the 3 lighted candles ( symbol of the 3 parts of the GS promise)  then we all blew out the candles.

We ARE proud to be Brownie Girl Scouts................
