I just thought I'd tell you that I enjoyed my visit to your site. I am a birth mother living in Australia. I gave birth to a lovely baby boy 10 years ago and felt that I would be better off adopting him out to a loving family who could offer him more than a single mother could. I have enjoyed looking at all the comments. My best friend is adopted and looking for her birth mother. All I know as of now is that her Mom's maiden name was Janet Higgins, and had a married name of Jarmon. Her stepfather's nickname is Lucky. She thi ks she was adopted in Hodgenville, Kentucky, and her adopted parents names are Martha and Harold Hawkins. She knows she has two siblings, one was probably born in 1980 and the other in 1981 or 82. She knows she was born in St. Louis. She has gotten mar ied and is the mother to a beautiful baby girl, and she wants her birth mother to know her granddaughter. She does know that Lucky was in the service, but not exactly sure what branch. She is 22 now, and has been looking for a year and a half. at 17, when my son was born, he was taken from me by my parents against my wishes and was adopted, I was devastated, have grieved for the past 28 years . . . the good news -- earlier this year we found each other. I've been looking for 28 years, he alway wondered but just started looking a couple years ago. Life is good, our reunion is wonderful and he is very much my son, regardless of what any court-ordered, sanitized documents may say. We have a love and bond that can never be described in words. Great Site....I went through a difficult pregnancy when I was 15 years old and gave birth to an amazing little boy....yesterday was his 10th bday...his parents are wonderful and I am grateful to them for allowing both he and I to grow and experience life. I gave birth on March 21, 1972. My maiden name is Vicki Stephens born in ElDorado, AR and lived in Crossett, AR till age 18. (Gave birth at age 17) My birthdate is Oct. 8, 1954. I received copies of my labor room papers and the Dr. and My Mother have m name listed as Mary Smith, with an ElDorado address, they show my birthplace as Alabama, they show my birthdate as 1-1-1953 and they show my age as 19. All of the info. on this form is false. I wish I knew what was listed on the birthcertificate. I ne er signed any papers and was so druged during the labor that I don't remember to much about that night. The birth was at Union Memorial Hospital in ElDorado, Arkansas and the Dr. was Dr. Thibault. The adoption was suppose to be set up by the Dr. I was old he knew a couple who couldn't have children and wanted to adopt. That is all I know except that the labor room papers show a baby boy. I am in favor of all adoption records being open. I have had an enormous amount of illness in my family, my daughter a malignant brain tumor, my other daughters oldest child (12) severe asthma and Reynods disease, her next daughter (10) kidney disease, a d her youngest a 5 year old boy with downs syndrome seizures and sever breathing problems. So needless to say I would love to have medical background info. I have been searching for many years to no avail. It is as if my bparents have dissappeared off he face of the earth.
