I did not know about my sons adoption until about a year after his birth. I was not told his name or anything. The only thing I was told was that I was his father and that he was put up for adoption. I was shown a picture of my son and I don't think there is any doubt that he is mine. I do not want to interupt his life however if he is looking for me I would love to meet him and just tell him that I love him. I also want to make sure that he has had a good life. Our son was given up to us at birth. The birth Mother was in her early 30's and had 2 sons that were just begining their teen years. Birth Father was married to someone not the birth Mother and was not able to marry the birth mother. He was legally blind also. There is some history of heart problems and diabetic history as well. We were told that the eye problem could be passed on and that it had something to do with the optic nerve. So far there has not been a problem with this. In September of 1969 I was 16 years old and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on September 26th. Because I was under age I was not able to keep her and had to make sure she had a loving home with a mother and father. The Los Angeles County for Adoption found a wonderful home and family for her. I named my daughter Tasha Ann Kirk. Her adopted family naturally changed her name and this information is sealed and I can not find out. I have contacted the Los Angeles County Adoption for Non-Identifying information. This information is available to me. No names or city of placement is given. Just information which is considered non-identifying. Both parents were of Italian descent, living in So. part of Los Angeles, County. The father was from Nebraska. He was an auto mechanic and had his own business. He like working with his hands and liked camping, bowling, raising children, family outings. Served in the Navy. He was 43 years old in 1969. The mother was 34 and was a homemaker. She was 5’ tall and had brown hair and eyes. Olive skin and pretty. She enjoyed raising children and like baseball and dancing. (Funny so did I) When she was 16 she met her husband to be and married at 18. She did not care much for school. (Neither did I) In 1969 the older brother was 13 and was an alter boy. The older sister was 10 and the youngest boy was 3. From the information I received they went to Catholic School. I am hoping to find someone who may be able to help me find her. She perhaps graduated in 1986. She will be 31 on her next birthday.

My daughter was placed in foster care prior to being adopted. I believe it was approximately 2 months before I signed the relinquishment forms. She was adopted by a Irish/Mexican mechanic and his Irish/German wife. Her adopted parents also have at least one older adopted child ( a boy). Her adopted parents are Catholic. I was born in Buena Park (Orange County) California at Lincoln Community Hospital. I was born premature so stayed in the hospital for about a month and then was placed in foster care in or near Bakersfield (Kern County) California until my placement at the age of 9 weeks. My b-Mom's last name was Munn and she was 15 years old at the time of my birth. My b-Dad's last name is Ward and he was 16 years old at that time. Neither of my birth parents were married at that time. I would like to get in touch with any member of my b-family or anyone else with knowledge of my b-family for medical information or ancestry for genealogy purposes. The latest piece of information I acquired was the last name of my b-Dad thanks to an angel on another registry. This just goes to show you that the world is full of angels in disguise and that you should never ever give up your search for your roots.

Female DOB 9/28/53 San Jose, CA. My birth mother made arrangements to give me up for adoption before I was born. She wanted me to be adopted by an Seventh-day Adventist family. So, when I was all of five days old, I was adopted by Keith Charles & Cora Jean (Robbins) Bartling who were living in Angwin, California at the time of my birth. I was born at Doctor's Hospital in San Jose, California, on September 28, 1953. Doctor's Hospital no longer exists and is now the San Jose Medical Center. Both of my adoptive parents are dead now. When my adoptive mother passed away in 1993, I found an envelope in her bedside table containing more details about my adoption. There were carbon copies of several letters sent to my birth mother by the department of social services and a birth certificate from the hospital, which my adoptive parents had filled out. Unfortunately this envelope has been misplaced or lost. My adoptive parents had always openly discussed most detai! ls of my adoption and also provided some biographical information about my birth mother. My birth mother's name was Jean Parker or Neva Jean Parker. I was told she was from the Long Beach, California area and that she was an Occupational Therapist. The doctor who delivered me, Dr. Milton E. Denmark, told me I was born under the name of Smith (Baby Girl Smith). Shayne is of mixed heritage, was born in the pm, weight 8 lbs. 15 ozs., 21 inches, and no complications during birth. Lived with temporary foster parents until adoption was finalized. Adopted by people of Italian heritage (Shayne's complextion was very light). Both adoptive parents were college grads (I believe one was actively teaching), one of them had a degree so specized they were afraid I would be able to tract them if I knew what it was. I beleive they lived in northern California. I lived in San Francisco and Glenn lived in San Jose.
