Visit our Home

Welcome to our home I hope you will enjoy this page.  Let me tell you a little about where we stay.  We are situated in the south West of Scotland, very near to the motorway networks giving us easy access to the North, East and West. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both in easy driving distance. The nearest towns to us are Hamilton and Strathaven, we are a matter of  10 miles from the historical market town of Lanark, and in the opposite direction we have the beautiful Ayrshire coast.

From our kitchen window we have views of the neighbouring farms and fields and can see Tinto in the distance, To the left we see Wishaw, Carluke and below is the Clyde Valley. As we drive towards Hamilton, we have views to Glasgow and Ben Lomond.

During the summer we are visited with a variety of wild birds, a truly spectacular sight. One of our regular visitors from April to October are the Swallows. For the past few years one couple have taken residence in our passageway and reared two broods before they depart to a warmer climate. Last year we also had an Owl in our woods.

We regularly saw the Fox in our fields, and signs of the Badger, but 2004 was very quiet with no sightings, due we think, to sickness among the rabbit population.
