A Look Back and a Step in the Future.

There is a lot happening these days at The CommuniQue. In May of this year, we produced our first issue, and distributed 1,000 copies. Thanks to the overwhelming demand and support from the community, last month we doubled our circulation, distributing 2,000 issues. We have enclosed a survey. Please take a minute to fill it out, fold, tape and mail it back to us. We are preparing a report to our funders and we would like to hear from both readers and agencies alike. It's very important to us. We are working on something new for this next year. We hope it will be just the beginning of some exciting format changes.	We are starting small, last month we included a limited number of the VOICES newsletters in some of the issues of The CommuniQue. We are working to improve thepossibilities and chances for your success! It is our goal to give you, our readers, the best and most current information possible. You have been reading Becky's Corner for a few months now. This information comes to us because of the commitment made by Pre-Vocational Training Center and Becky Nilles. VOICES will be our second collaboration. VOICES stands for Voices for Opportunity, Income, Child care, Education and Support. We think that VOICES and The CommuniQue are a great match.	Both organizations are concerned about low-income and poverty issues. Empowering people to improve their own situations is a main goal for both of us. The CommuniQue provides resources and personal success stories the emotional and material needs of an individual or family. Through monthly meetings VOICES connects people to each other and encourages working together for a larger change, like creating political change in our communities. Through the help of organizations like VOICES, low-income people are being listened to by our legislators. We hope you will be as excited about these new possibilities as we are. We are inviting agencies who are willing to make a small or large commitment.
