 Health For All hotline

While we don't know for sure, data suggests that an additional 30,000 to 40,000 uninsured people could be eligible for health insurance under the expanded Medicaid program. As people move from the welfare rolls to work situations, often their employers do not carry insurance and their positions may be part-time. This is particularly true with food service, hospitality, and the retail trades.

The guidelines for eligibility have widened and there are fewer restrictions for eligibility. It may also serve as a "wrap-around" policy to supplement other insurance policies. Remember you may be eligible even if you have higher income levels, and you don't have to be on welfare (TANF) or participating in Work First.

The Health For All hotline is here to help you. If you are an individual who is interested in finding out if you are eligible, please call the hotline number. Health For All is also training people who work in agencies that serve low-income people. Health For All has other support services to make that job easier. Our goal is to enroll as many eligible people as possible.
