Sam wrote: "Hi Benita, I am the Grandson of Samuel Graham and was named for him, My grandmother bought me my first suit because of that, for which my dad said 'she won't buy me any tobacco but she buys my son a suit.' I don't have a lot of information on my grandparents but there is some things you left out like the name is Graham. My dads name was George W Graham and he was born 1891. My brothers names are George W Graham Jr & Larry Ray Graham. One of my Uncles had one leg, and could still catch me if I did something wrong...I have forgot a lot of names. Aunt Sadie, her daughter lives in Fla married to G. Green, small stuff like that, Please contact my brother ... he has a lot of information, he's a Bishop in the Morman church so he could be a lot of help. He lived close to my dad and mom all his life. I moved to Calif in 1950 so I didn't get all the information I needed ... Grandma Jane I think and believe had some Indian blood but no one ever recorded it ... anyway I was so glad to hear from you, Like old times. My son has a Graham - South reunion if you want more information call him or Marcie his wife ... they will give you more details. I wish you luck on your quest and hope you keep sending me information, I would love to get it. I guess we are cousins so have a good one and don't forget us ... sam"

Benita wrote: "Thursday, May 20; Hello Samuel, Allow me to introduce myself ... my name is Benita and I am conducting a personal research of my family tree. I noticed your name listed at the following url: http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvgenweb/surname/g.html What is so exciting is that my g-grandfather (on my dad's mom's side of the family) was named Samuel Grahm (actually, my father isn't sure if Samuel's surname was spelled Grahm or Graham, so forgive me if that is incorrect). I have an introductory genealogy webpage at the following url address: http://www.oocities.org/Heartland/Trail/6793 if you would like to visit it and read a little more information about the ancestors for which I am searching. There are a couple of family photos (one of Samuel Grahm and his wife Jane Day Grahm; from Horsepen, WV) ... or maybe someone else will look familiar to you. If I happen to be so lucky and you do have any information about this side of my family, I would greatly appreciate your sharing it with me. What information I have now is pretty sketchy, at best. But maybe the genealogy pages will bring me a few good leads? Thank you in advance and best wishes to you and yours. Benita"
