The following message was received as a result of the form below; dated 7/9/99 and 7/11/99, from Jane. (Some of the content has been omitted.):

"... My Grandfather and Great Uncles names were Nick (Nicholas) Jeffries and Charlie Jeffries [they were the former owners of Hole in the Wall and then had a grocery store in Warrior Hollow]. At this time I do not have any of the recipes, but I will see what I can do through the family ... My dad grew up in Caretta, and my mom lived in War from birth until we moved to Florida in 1962. Thanks again for the pictures, it was good seeing home again since I do not get back as often as I once did. Again, thank you and I will write again. Sincerely Jane"

Thank you, Jane, for this information. (:

The folowing message was received as a result of the form below; dated 7/12/99, from Will R. Hauck.

"During the late 40's and 50's the Hole in the Wall was owned and operated by the Cato family. Lewis Cato was a school mate of mine. I ate many a hotdog there."

Thank you, Will, for sharing your memory of the HITW.
