Mr. C. Bashlor Killed Monday
News was received in Homerville Monday of the sudden death of Mr. Carl Bashlor of near Headlight. Mr. Bashlor was woodsman down there for G. A. Smith & Company, turpentine manufacturers. He had mounted his horse and ridden only a short distance from the still Monday morning, when he either was thrown by his horse, or had a heart attack and fell off, the fall breaking his neck. No one saw the fatal accident, but he was found only about thirty minutes after leaving home, lying in the road. Mr. Bashlor came to Clinch about twenty years ago, and has made his home here practically ever since. He was a clever, congenial and wholesouled friend to everybody. Soon after coming to Clinch he married Miss Bessie Cox of DuPont, and now is survived by her and several children. The remains were buried in the North Cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
