ANNOUNCING OUR NEXT AND VERY EXCITING EXCHANGE "Trash to Treasure Exchange "

Exchange Host: Susan Avery

Guidelines and Schedule

This is an opportunity for each of us to stretch our imagination and creativity to design a piece of art using our ever present pine needles but embellished with item(s) that normally go into our recycle or trash bins. Simply look around at all the possibilities that are practically endless. I've been looking around and my mind is already spinning trying to come up with the possibility of what can be done with an old shoe/broken glass/plastic bottles/cans/bottle caps/egg cartons ------- you get the idea.

    Here are the guidelines:
  1. All members of the Pine Needle Group members who have fulfilled their past commitments to our exchanges, and members who have never participated are eligible to participate.
  2. All participants must read and agree to abide by the Standing rules before signing up. The rules are posted in the LINKS section of our Yahoo group site.
  3. Design must measure at least 6" at some point and contain at least 50% pine needles.
  4. All embellishments must be something man made (not natural), something destined for the trash, but resurrected as part of the final design.
  5. Any design subject will be accepted as long as use of pine needles, size and embellishment rules are applied. Possibilities are endless to include but not limited to: effigies, wall hangings, wreaths, sculptures, mobiles, etc. Look through past exchanges for design ideas.
  6. To sign up, send e-mail with name, address and phone number to susanavery@tds.net. This will be a secret partner exchange. In other words, participants will not know who they will be receiving their piece from until it arrives in the mail.
  7. Send picture of final piece when shipped to: susanavery@tds.net
  8. When piece is received by partner, he/she should notify susanavery@tds.net at which time group will be notified and photo posted on group web site for other members to admire.
