Artistry
Artistry paints a landscape of soft coral orange with 30-petaled flowers
that can grow to 5 inches across. The hybrid tea's pointed ovoid buds rest
upon dark green, semi-glossy foliage. This beauty stands to 5 feet, with
upright and well branched canes. Sixteen to 18-inch stems and a light fragrance
make Artistry a natural for cutting gardens allowing gardeners to bring
some romance indoors. Keith Zary hybridized Artistry from a combination
of two unnamed seedlings. Bear Creek Gardens is the introducer. |
Timeless
Timeless promises endless deep rose pink blooms. Another hybrid tea, the
pointed ovoid buds of this rose open to reveal 4-inch flowers with 25 to
30 petals each. Growing to 4 feet, Timeless is cloaked in dark green, semi-glossy
foliage on upright, well branched canes. Gardeners are sure to be passionate
about this eye-catching rose, pairing it with complementary suitors like
foxglove and delphinium to create a romantic landscape. Timeless is the
offspring of a unnamed seedling and Kardinal. It was hybridized by Keith
Zary and introduced by Bear Creek Gardens. |
Scentimental
Scentimental intrigues the senses with burgundy and cream striped petals
and a sweet spice fragrance. This free-blooming, rounded floribunda mimics
the look and scent of the striped hybrid roses of the 1800s. Although striped
roses date back more than 100 years, Scentimental is the first striped
rose to win the AARS award. Deep green, quilted foliage flatters large,
pointed buds each opening to expose a swirl of color as unique as a snowflake.
The 4-inch flowers have 25 to 30 petals. Introduced by Weeks Roses, Scentimental
was hybridized by Tom Carruth. The rose was created from a combination
of Playboy and Peppermint Twist. |
