Welcome to the Wattle AFL Footy Tipping Competition 2001!

As you know the season has come to an end with the Lions winning the 2001 Premiership. Condolences to the Essendon team & fans. But it was a great game & the better team really did win, especially after that season!!!!

CONGRATS also have to go to Katrina (Grevillia) who won last years Tipping Comp.!!

To sign up...just email Julie (Spinifex Hopping Mouse) to let her know BY the start of the Home & Away season in March. We are having a practice run over the Ansett Cup Pre-Season so let me know before that starts if you want to go in that too! Also, if you would like to be included in the money comp, then send your $5 to Julie. (Email her for her address)
Note - you don't have to pay $5 to be in the comp, but only those who pay will be in the running for the jackpot prize.

Your Tips

You will be sent an email early every week with the games being played on it. Please just make it obvious which team you think will lose (ie: leave the team you think will win!!). If you forget to pick then you will get one less than the lowest score of the round. IE: Kelli gets the lowest score (which is not unlikely!!! lol) with 2... so you will get 1. It's our way of rewarding those who bother to put their tips in! If you are going away you may send your tips to me in advance for the time you'll be away - but it's up to you to organise. I have a draw if you wish to ask for the upcoming games... Tips for the regular season must be submitted by 4pm EST each Friday - unless otherwise advised. We aren't playing for sheep stations but since money is involved I like to be official about it all... OK?

A seperate competition running this year is the PICK THE MARGIN COMP. In this competition you must pick the margin you think one team will win by in the chosen game sent to you via email. The winner each week is the one closest to the exact score within 5 points either way. You get two points for an exact score guess! The Ultimate winner will be whoever wins the most..... no prizes as yet.. any donations??? Seriously!! We also will have some fun competitions during the year about the games... stay tuned!!
