The following are games that I've found work pretty well for me. I have some favorites that I use most of the time, but it's nice to change your demo from time to time - especially with repeat hostesses. I hope you find something here you enjoy! Tic-Tac-Toe: Give the hostess and every guest a piece of paper with a blank tic-tac-toe board on it. Tell everyone that as you are presenting the product, if they like that particular piece then they can write it in any of the 9 blank spots on the paper. When the demo is done, everyone should have their entire board filled in with their favorite 9 pieces. Next, you ask the hostess to start calling out her favorite 9 pieces in a random order. If a guest has the piece she is calling out, they are to put an "X" in that box. The first person to get a tic-tac-toe (either vertical, horizontal or diagonal) will be the winner...but the winner must yell, "I LOVE CANDLES!!!!!" Left and Right Game: Choose one or two small gifts (I usually use a votive). Give one gift to the hostess, and to one other person (if you are using two gifts). Read the following story, and every time you say the word “left” or “right”, the person holding the gift is to pass it to the person on their left or right. “I left my house and was on my way to (Hostesses name) house. But I left the directions at home right by the phone! I knew right away that I needed to have the right directions to (hostess name) house, so I turned left and I turned right and made my way back to my house for the right directions. Sure enough, there they were, right where I had left them, right next to the phone. Finally, I was on the right track. I arrived right on time and set up my display right over here. You all arrived and sat right down. I'll get right to work and tell you all about our wonderful company, hostess program, and income opportunity. I hope nothing will be left out. In a moment I will be showing you our exquisite candles and products. If you left home with the intention of shopping for gifts tonight, remember, we have the right gift for everyone. As you hand it to them, say, "This is yours for the evening. After all, what's a party without balloons and presents. Hang on to it and don't trade it away. You may be holding the special balloon." When you open the show, casually remind them to hang on to their balloons, you will get to them later in the show. For the entire evening the women "owns" the balloon and the gift inside. You will see them shaking the balloon and see the curiosity in her eyes. When doing the door prize slip, at #3 say "Ok ladies you all have your balloons, and by now you have figured out that there is a special gift inside from me! If you decide to book a show this evening the gift is yours, and you may pop your balloon to discover what you have won. Otherwise you must return the balloon to me. If three of you pop your balloon, then the hostess gets to pop hers as well." The wording here is key! There is not a person in that room who is not dying to know what her prize is... and not a single one who is thrilled to give you HER balloon back. And your hostess will also want to pop hers to see what HER MYSTERY prize is, so she will work to get other to pop theirs. Have them bring their balloon to you with their order and pop the balloon with you. Stealing Hearts: You need all the heart cards and all the diamond cards from a regular deck of cards. You also need 1 or 2 small gifts. To start, you explain to all the guests that you want them to ask questions about your job with PartyLite and you want them to be as nosey as they'd like! For each question asked, a guest will get a heart card from the deck of cards -- the more cards, the more chances they will have to win a prize afterwards!!! There are 13 heart cards in the deck so it will mean 13 questions being asked about the opportunity with PartyLite!!! After all the heart cards have been handed out, you will then use the diamond cards from the deck, shuffled up, pick one at random and call out loud but replace "diamond" with "heart". So if you pick the 5 of diamonds you will say "5 of hearts". The person with the first card called gets to pick 1 of the gifts BUT you must tell her not to get too attached to it! Then you call the next card and the person with that card gets to pick a remaining gift OR STEAL the gift from the first person!!!!! You keep calling cards and guests keep stealing the gifts from each other until you've used all the diamond cards (all 13) then the people left holding the after all the cards have been called are the winners and keep the gifts! The Seat Game: Ask the following statements to the guests. When a person can answer "yes" to a question, that person moves to the next seat on their right. The first person back to their original seat wins. There will be several sitting on laps...even 4 at a time. It is FUN!! 1. If you are wearing shoes that tie. 2. If you are wearing a watch. 3. If you have on a button. 4. If you went to church on Sunday. 5. If you are wearing heels. 6. If you kissed your husband or significant other today. 7. If you are having fun. 8. If you are wearing a ring. 9. If you made the bed you slept in today. 11. If you have a zipper. 12. If you are wearing pants. 13. If you have a son. 14. If you have green eyes. 15. If you are wearing nail polish. 16. If you brought a guest. Make up more of your own if you need to. Know Your Hostess: Before everyone gets there, ask your hostess the questions listed below and tell her that it will be part of a game for her guests. When everyone is there, pass them out a paper with the questions on it and tell them that whoever "knows the hostess the best" will win a prize. Read each question out loud and always give the guests 3 choices to each question. It can be anything - some examples are given. 1. What candle scent do you think is _______'s favorite? a. black cherry b. cinnamon c. her choice 2. What items do you think she will choose in her Shopping Spree? a. Iced Crystal Trio b. her choice c. Windswept Votive Holder 3. In which room of her home do you think she burns the most candles? a. her choice b. bathroom c. kitchen 4. When I asked her which of these benefits of being a PartyLite Consultant she would like best, which do you think she chose? a. Earning $1200 a month working 9 hours a week b. All expense paid exotic trip c. Free product for her home 5. Today she will be able to choose at least 1 item at 1/2 price. What do you think she will choose? a. her choice b. Garden Lantern c. I wonder who came here from afar, Give yourself 5 if you came by car. Were you on time? Not one minute late? Punctuality pays so give yourself 8. A watch is 6 and each ring is 2 10 more points if your eyes are not blue. Score yourself 5 if you show any pink, But take away 10 if you left dishes in the sink. Count all of your buttons...each gives you 1 Except if they are white and then you get none. For each bow that you have add on 2 But safety pins are taboo, So for each one you're wearing you must subtract 2. 1 point for each year that you have been wed, But take away 5 if your purse is red. Now sons are neat, on that we agree So for each one you have you now may add 3. But when adding up points, girls are worth more So for each one that you have go ahead and add 4. If you kissed your husband or boyfriend today, add 12 If you kissed them both you must subtract 20 Because you're in trouble and trouble aplenty!
