- California Department of Developmental Services Supported Living Services (SLS) are provided to adults with developmental disabilities who choose to live in homes they own or lease. These support services are offered regardless of the degree of disability and are provided for as long and as often as needed.
- CCD Housing Task Force works with Congress and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to increase access to decent, safe and affordable housing for all people with disabilities and to protect the rights guaranteed under the Fair Housing Act.

The mission of our project is to create a mechanism that will enable people with low income and with disabilities to purchase their own homes.

- Kansas Medicaid Waiver Services - The State of Kansas currently has six Medicaid waiver programs. These waivers redirect Medicaid dollars to Home and Community Based Services, as opposed to institutional care.
- Liberty Resources, Inc - Accessible Housing - Housing needs of persons with disabilities have historically been overlooked and ignored. For instance, current Medicaid regulations guarantee a person with a disability the right to live in a nursing home, but do not guarantee the right to live in the community.
- Medicaid Community Attendant Services Act (MiCASA) is proposed legislation which, if signed into law, would allow for a national program of home- and community-based services (attendant services). Although MiCASA was designed with physically disabled persons in mind, I see no reason why the legislation could not be extended to include people with developmental disabilities. - Position Paper Pennsylvania Action Coalition for Disability Rights in Housing - We Recommend: The same SSI supplement given to people who reside in personal care homes be given to people who live in their own homes who want to either a) buy a home or b) modify an existing home.
- Recommendations for a Federal Policy to Address the Housing Needs of People with Disabilities - The information and recommendations highlighted in this report are designed to guide the development of future federal housing policy and the use of federal housing funds to address the growing shortage of decent, safe, and affordable housing for people with disabilities. The critical question before us is whether the federal government and the nation's affordable housing delivery system have the will and the commitment to ensure that people with disabilities receive their fair share of federal housing resources, now and in the future.
