Ephraim Hampton was the son of Andrew Hampton and Sarah KUKENDALL. He was b. ca 1737 in the Shenandoah Valley of VA, d. ca 1813 in York Co., SC, m. Lemanda HARRIS before 7-1-1763 in Granville Co., NC., b. 1728-1752 and d. 1792-1843. She was the daughter of Robert and Lemanda ______-HARRIS.

Elizabeth BENNETT, b. 1850 in AL, d. after 1884 in Lawrence Co., AL, and had a son William Sherman. After their death about 1880 in Lawrence Co., AL, John L. and Mollie McCULLOCH raised W. 7. John, Jr. b. ca 1804 in York Co., SC, married Elizabeth GREY 5-29-1828. They went to Hempstead Co., AR.
