Relaxing in the pure Colorado mountain air, Jeepin' over mountain roads (sometimes the road and the creeks become one), is one activity all the family enjoys. During one drive we saw 40 elk, 6 deer, a porcupine, a large owl and numerous other birds..

Driving the Pass trails over the Continental Divide is one of our favorite activities. We have been over Elwood Pass, Stoney Pass, Summit Pass and Cinnamon Pass to name a few. We also visit old mines and ghost towns when we can.

Kristi's idea of a great vacation would be to spend everyday riding the trails, quietly exploring nature. She especially enjoys it when she rides Blaze, her favorite horse at Wolf Creek Outfitters. Here Don is helping her get ready to go.

Not all the fishing is this good, some days they don't show up..... They are really a bonus to being able to enjoy these wonderful mountains.

Some days we all don't feel like doing the same things. But, can you think of a better backdrop for fishing or reading?

Last year the ground squirrels were our main visitors. This year this bear decided to visit the campground a few times.

Here are some more pictures of our vacation.
