Blaise stared at Nathan Finnegan. How had the boy managed to get into Slytherin with his parents? Seamus and Hermione were distinctly Gryffindor and while houses were not genetic unless you were a Malfoy or a Weasley (and there were those who were both) it was usually the children had simular personalities. Nate should have been in Gryffindor or even Ravenclaw. Slytherin did not match up with the personality.

What on earth had happened in the last fifteen years that he had spent in Italy. Dumbledore had wanted him to research and create a anti-death spell potion for Order members. He had done that sucessfully and now since Snape had been promoted to headmaster he had taken over potions and Head of house for Slytherin.

Which is why he knew that Nate's parent's were who they were.

"I see you seen my son." Blaise turned to see the new Transfiguration and Gryffindor head of house Professor standing behind him against the wall. Hermione Granger-Finnegan. Or was it Granger agian now the two were divorced.

"How did he end up in Slytherin? With parents like you and Finnegan I would have expected him to be in Gryffindor."

"Acts a bit too much like his father."

"Again, the Gryffindor house then." Hermione smiled grimly and looked him striaght in the eyes.

"Whoever said that Nathan's father was in Gryffindor?"
