These are in alphabetical order by band name. At the end of each review will be either a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Thumbs up means I'd buy the CD again if I could go back in time (although if I could go back in time I'd be pretty rich, so I'd probably just buy every cd...oh well..). Thumbs down doesn't mean it's a bad album, it just means I wouldn't buy it if I were you.
Marilyn Manson - Smells Like Children:
By just looking at the cover of this CD, you can tell that this album is going to be something different. With songs like "Kiddie Grinder", "Everlasting Cocksucker", and "Scabs, Guns, and Peanut Butter", you know it's not for the easily disturbed. They say you can't judge a book by it's cover, but this is an exception. Smells Like Children is the weirdest CD I've bought, ever. Although there are 15 tracks, only 8 of them are actually songs. The rest is just weird stuff, like moaning and talking. One of my personal favourite "none-songs" is track 11. All the actual songs are just as weird...they are pure chaos, with lots of different instruments and lots of different tunes in the same song. After listening to the whole CD a few times, I have to say I like it. It's certainly not for everyone, but if you like dark, disturbing, chaotic sounds, you'll probably like it after a few listens. Thumbs up.
Marilyn Manson - Portrait of an American Family
I liked Smells Like Children and I love Portrait. After listening to it, I realize that SLC was really just a collection of remixes of songs off Portrait and remakes of old songs (ie: Sweet Dreams). Anyway, Portrait, the band's first major album, is excellent. Every song has its charm, although a little more variation would have been nice (maybe a slower song or two). I recommend it highly and give it two thumbs up.
Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
I won't write a long review for this. It's a great album. It has a nice mix of songs, although some of them seem kinda uninspired. The album flows together nicely and doesn't just sound like a collection of songs. AS isn't quite as consistently good as Portrait, but it's still a great album. Thumbs up.

Metallica - Load
I'm not a huge Metallica fan, but I've enjoyed their music since the black album. Before I bought Load, I'd heard mixed opinions on it. A lot of people said that they have gone "soft" with Load, while others said that it was as good as their previous albums. Well, I think it's just as good if not better than the black album. Just because they got new haircuts, that doesn't make their music any worse. True, parts of the album are slightly softer than previous albums, but most of it is still metal as opposed to alternative (as some people are saying). I like Load, and I don't care if they've changed a bit, they still kick ass. Two big bloated thumbs up.
The cover art for Load (pictured above) is really weird. It appears to be fire from a distance, but when looked at up close it turns out to be liquid. I've heard that the liquid is a mixture of come and blood (eewwwww), but I'm not sure.

Stone Temple Pilots - Little Music...:
I have been a fan of STP since their first album, Core. The first time I listened to Little Music, I didn't like it. I thought too many of the songs were slow and boring. But, after listening to it 3 or 4 times I started to like it a bit more. It's not their best album (In my opinion Core was), but it's good. I still wish there were some faster songs on it though. Unfortunately, I have to give it thumbs down, although some people may like it I just didn't get into it as much as I would have liked.
