Some other guys page says the lawyer told him that his page would be in competition with the official page (how one can compete in a non profit arena is beyond me. seems he should be happy for the free publicity). The thing is, I can't FIND an official G. Carlin home page!!!

Also, what reject lawyer sat there to find your (and others) pages? I know you don't have these answers (you were the victim of this stupidity). Just venting . I was trying to find a page that had club dates, and I found a bunch of ex-pages. It seems like he wants everything about him expunged from the public record. I will start doing so in my house too I think!!!!

BTW - do you know where the official page is (if there is one)? I feel like taunting the webmaster.

I saw George on Politically incorrect and I thought he was amazing in his view about different thing like one for example Religion. It's too bad that their is no more info on him or what he did, now it'll make it very hard to find things on him. The internet is a tool to inform people but if you remove every page on the subject for any reason, in the long run you are losing out.

Why would I buy books or anything from george if I can't even get a glimpse of what he did.... I'm in the dark here!

Hey...I think it is terrible what has happened to your web page. I'm a big Carlin fan, and I visited your page many many times. I even bookmarked it as one of my favs. I was horrified when I went there and read about how you had to shut it down. What happened to George being all into free speech and all that???

Anyway...I've met George Carlin before, and he was very nice. Has Suzy even talked to George...or is she taking this into her own little hands?? I just can't believe he would want this shut down. Does Carlin himself know that this anti Carlin Web page bullshit is going on. I can't imagine him going on the net and saying " Look at all these motherfuckers glorifying me, I'm going to call my lawyer!" I've been reading his book all day and that would seem a bit uncharacteristic of him. Anyway, I'm sympathetic to your plight. I noticed every single bit of information about George Carlin on the net has been wiped out. I read that stuff about the Fan Page being shut down and why. I'd like to read this further and why this unfair treatment is being doled out on you guys. Whatever happened to freedom of speech and expression...I guess we'll never know. I myself have been a huge fan of GC for a long time and it REALLY disappoints me to see that someone I respected and even idolized has been a complete fraud! I distinctly remember his opinion on this subject and judging by these actions I'd say he doesn't give two flying fucks about what he says. This is complete bullshit, but in line with the Carlin philosophy. If you really study Carlin, this makes sense. It sucks ass, but it makes sense. "If your kid needs a role model and you aren't it, you're both fucked." George apparantly views idolization as a form of weakness, and most likely doesn't want to contribute to it. On the other hand, maybe he's a money hungry old bastard. It doesn't matter. If there's one thing I've learned from George, it's that nothing matters, it's all meaningless, and we're all fucked regardless. This could be the most or the least hypocritical thing George has ever done. But fuck him anyway, and fuck you, and fuck me. Big respect and much props for the effort, though, partner.
