Heavy Metal Site!

Welcome!!!

First off I need to point out that THIS SITE IS NO LONGER UPDATED!!!

Most of the links on the left will take you to the updated pages, but it's better if you just go to MOTHERMERCY.COM yourself to see all the cool new stuff!!!

Now... back to Mother Mercy-Geocities already in progress....

...to promoting heavy metal and helping bring about it's resurgence. Specifically, here you will find current information on a hot band out of Southern California called Mother Mercy. Including a band bio, tour dates, CD info and samples, and some live pictures. The band has created quite a stir by going against the grunge/alternative fad and is getting great responses from Europe and the Western United States. In fact, several European radio stations and Hard Radio have them on regular rotation and their four song demo "Bad Boyz in Black" sold as fast as they were "pressed". Currently the band is touring the west coast, and will soon be expanding to include the rest of the U.S..

For more information on the band and its members, check out the OFFICIALLY released band bio. The CD Love at First Bite is out NOW and is getting wild acclaim from all fronts. The CD is currently being featured on Hard Radio, in the hard metal section, and is being distributed through several US and European companies. If you wish to contact the band for specifics (or any reason), their fan mail address is:

MOTHER MERCY

Also included on this page are many good links to other heavy metal bands and sites. Hopefully you will find this site to be useful and informative. Look around, check out the band, and most of all, ENJOY!

Here are some reviews the band has received:

In the January/February issue of Music Scene International reviewer Kimmy writes about the band's show:

"By now the club is packed to capacity and it's no suprise as... Mother Mercy goes off on stage! The boys in black are as professional as they come with a stage performance that demands full attention."

In the April 30th edition of Rock City News, columnist Bobby Mendoza wrote:
"The self-proclaimed "Bad Boys In Black" were up next. MOTHER MERCY that is! The metal lads were on fire tonight and kickin' ass all over the place. I was impressed by the rhythm section of Randall on bass and Seann on Drums. It was non stop poundage at it's best."

In issue number 23 of Metalized a Danish heavy metal magazine, Rock critic Ken Anthony wrote (translated from original):

"...no doubt these four rockers are one of the finest new bands in a long, long time. Mother Mercy, the boys in black, take over where Motley Crue...used to be."

On the front page of volume 14, number 5 of Rock City News, a Los Angeles music paper, columnist Captain Anarchy had the following to say:

"MOTHER MERCY, the self proclaimed "Bad Boys in Black",... tore it up for the eagerly growing crowd with their Ratt-meets-L.A. Guns streetwise yet commercial, metal-esque sound and black leather..."

In the Rock City News Awards Issue volume 15, number 23, reveiwer Lisa Billings wrote of the bands Halloween show:

"Headliners MOTHER MERCY were awesome, as usual. They ripped through songs from their CD Love at First Bite. What could be more appropriate for Halloween than a band perfoming such songs as "Dancing with the Devil," "Helltrain",and "Sin after Sin". All said and done it was a great show."
