WHO: sharMy sister is a concierge at a hotel in Boise, where Val was staying for a Christian Science convention. He forgot to iron his clothing, to buy hairspray, and his room was a mess. He asked her to buy him Daily Defense hairspray. She said he was very apologetic and sweet, and had lovely handwriting.

WHO: nikkiI was eating lunch in New York @ Hard Rock Cafe and I glanced over to my right. And there he was- Val Kilmer- I was so nervous once I noticed it was him- I am a die hard fan so you could imagine meeting him- I patted him on the shoulder and said- "Excuse me, are you Val Kilmer?" (Already knowing it was him) He said, "Well, yes I am." By then, I was wetting my pants- I was speechless- I managed to get him to sign my napkin- I treasure it to this day. We had dinner together- and guess what- he paid for my dinner- what a gentleman!!! He shook my right hand and hugged me- I kissed him on the cheek! I will never wash my hand or lips again!! I LOVE YOU VAL!

WHO: rich laskoI was at the Mel's Diner in West Hollywood on Friday (3/17). Just after dinner, Val and his daughter pulled up, because his daughter had to use the restroom. I sat down and talked to him while he waited. He was very nice and shook my hand. He also let me know that his new Mars movie would be out sometime around summer or fall.

WHO: matt, audrey, & jessicaWe were shopping at Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and Val and his daughter were there shopping too. We spoke to him said hello, and Val said hello back with a smile. We asked, "May we have an autograph?" At first, he replied that he doesn't give them out, but then shortly after paying for his stack of CDs he quietly slid an application to an American Express card to us with his autograph. We said thanks and that we love all his movies. He smiled and whisked his daughter out the door and into his waiting black Lincoln town car with his driver behind the wheel, and off he drove down Sunset Blvd... Thanks Val, you are a friendly guy!

WHO: erin nicoleVal Kilmer came to my high school and we asked him questions about different things. Our school is a Christian Science school and that is the same religion as him. I also was able to meet him.

WHO: larkThis last Friday Val came and visited my school. Our principal was his eighth grade teacher, so he invited Val. He was really nice... he talked to us for a while and then answered questions. He talked a lot about how much his kids mean to him. He seemed really down to earth. It was a lot of fun!!!

WHO: lizOne day I was sitting out in a lawn chair in my front yard in Hollywood when Val and his two children drove by in a new Mustang Convertible. I was so exited that I started running and screaming after him. He pulled his car to the side of the street and I asked him if I could have his autograph, and he gave it to me and also gave me a ride in his car. I thanked him endlessly and he dropped me off at my house at one in the morning.

Ah, I wish I could have seen more....

WHO: kaityI live on Staten Island, where it (Joe the King) was mostly filmed. Basically, I saw this makeup trailer outside my school and I asked the lady that was sitting there what was going on(this was before I knew what the heck they were doing) and she said that they were filming an independant film called "Pleasant View Avenue". So then I got home and my brother told me that they were filming a scene in my school's boiler room because the director thought that it was the most amazing boiler room he's ever seen(my school is pretty old). So then, I went to the house that Val's character is supposed to live in(it's supposed to take place in the '70's i think) and it was all made up to look ratty and run down. I also learned that Val is an abusive father. I met the little boy from the movie as well. Then, about two minutes away from my house, they were filming another scene with John Leguizamo inside this local bar called "The Corner House" (the name may have been changed for the purposes of the movie). My brother's friend also met Ethan Hawke while he was chilling at a part of the island called Snug Harbor. But, anywho, the whole summer they were lurking around the whole island, which is pretty small. My brother was asked to be an extra for 100 dollars a day, but somehow, that didn't happen. And there were signs posted up all over saying something like "Pleasant View Avenue-No parking" and I, being the thief that I am, stole it....there were like a million of them....they're not going to miss it.

My brother was about 100 feet away from him and was asked to be an extra. It also stars John Liguizamo.....as far as I know.....it was called Pleasant View Avenue.
