In this comedy series inventor Robert Sommerby, who lives with his Aunt Millie, is given a government grant towards perfecting his 'humanoid' robots. The robots are the major source of comedy, most notably 'Eric' - who has appointed himself 'shop-steward' for the robot's, and the early prototype 'Katie' (or 'KT' to be precise) - a large lumbering 'male' robot (with a metalic grey finish) who is rather lacking in brain capacity, this is made obvious by his frequent cry of: "I like it Mr Sommerby... I like it!" - usually when some disaster has struck. At the end of series 1 Professor Sommerby causes chaos by building a robot replica of himself. |
