Deceased: He died at 63 years old from emphysema on 02/20/1992.
 

Curiosities: He was raised in Chicago.
                           In Chicago he started in several radio series, including "Jack Armstrong - The All American Boy".
                           In 1950 he moved to New York and started acting on TV, appearing on many live dramatic shows.
                           He first met his wife,Joan when he was 15 and she was 12! They both were acting in a Chicago radio
                           show. They got married in 1952 and have three daughters and two sons.
                           He moved to Hollywood in 1961.
                           He also appeared in several Broadway plays, including "Tea and Sympathy", and  "Bus Stop".
                           He had  to leave Bewitched in 1969 due to chronic back problems. Dick Sargent replaced him.
                           Sargent remained with the show from 1969  through 1972.
                           Despite of his youth he was an experienced actor long before Bewitched.
                           Bewitched fans are almost unanimous in preferring him to his replacement Dick Sargent.
