"Well, I think that your leg should be good enough to walk on." the doctor informed her patient. "Alonzo, do you want to try it out?" "I guess so." Alozo smiled, "It'll be nice not to be a burden again." "You're never a burden, Alonzo. Now, lets try to stand and walk." she helped him into a standing postion and bit her lip. He took a step. Then another. "I think that you did it doc." he smiled at Julia. "It feels much better." he looked right into her eyes and she tensed. He leaned in a kissed her. Just at this second Kimberly walked into the room. Julia pulled away quickly. "Ohhh, ah," Kim said nervously, "Devon wanted to know if you needed any help with anything. Back home I did a little medicine because of my gymnastics. You know, like injuries." she continued to blush. "Well, ah," Julia still blushed. She never liked to be caught. "I think that everything is okay, but, if I get anything that I don't understand I'll make sure I'll talk to you." she smiled. "Okay. I'll, ah, leave you two alone." she quickly walked out of the tent. *** "Hey, this is just like my car." Tommy smiled as he fixed the ATV. "I woulda thought that by the future they might have made things easier." "Then I'd be out of work." Danziger chuckled. "I guess there is that." Tommy wiped his hands on a sheet. "Lets check it out." Tommy grinned. "Right on, Oliver." They both turned on the car and both hopped in. "This is so cool. I have got to get one of these!" Tommy laughed as they bounced along the rugged ground. "Alright boys," Devon stepped out in front of the car and Danziger quickly stopped the ATV. "I know you're having fun but there are to other vehicles to fix. Get to it." she ordered. "Yes ma'am." Danziger saluted. "Just get to it and stop acting like ten year olds! It's bad enough with the kids now you two!" she put her hand to her forehead. "Where are the kids?" asked Tommy. He wondered what the kids did during the day. "They're having their lesson with Yale, why?" she asked. "Oh, I just wondered what they did." Tommy answered. "Alright, just get to it." *** "Come on Yale. We have guest! Please can we go!?!" pleaded Uly. "Ya. It's to exciting just to, ugg, learn!" "I'm sorry kids. Your parents trust me to teach you and that's what I'm going to do." They pouted. "I'll tell you what. I'll teach you about 1996. Then you can talk to the other guys." They both smiled and Yale began his lesson. *** Kimberly walked through the camp alone. No one wanted her help and Bess was asleep. She was terribly lonely and wanted to go home. She looked all over for Tommy because he was the only one that she could just go up to and talk to other than Bess and the children. She saw Tommy working on the vehicles with Danziger. She saw the children learning with Yale. She knew where Alozno and Julia were. Bess and Morgan were sleeping. All the rest of the people she didn't even want to get to know. It just felt to weird for her. She went over to Tommy and Danziger and sat down. They didn't even notice her. 'Just like a guy. Ignore the girl for the car' she smiled to herself. "Hey guys." she waved to them. Danziger didn't move but Tommy turned his head and looked at her. "Want a hug?" he asked her and then lifted up his black hands. "Uggh, no thanks!" she giggled. 'Yes I want a hug!' "Your loose." he turned back to working on the vehicle. She sat there and just stared at him. Kimberly couldn't help but compare him to Robert. Tommy was better looking than Robert. Had better hair than Robert. He had a better body than Robert. Most importantly, he was nicer and funnier than Robert. 'What did I do?' she asked herself. Tears started to form in her eyes. 'How could I have just given up the perfect guy. He's not even interested in me anymore.' She wiped her tears. She knew there would be no reason why he would still be interested in her. She had dumped him bad and it was over. *** The fire knight walked around. He sniffed the air. "I smell a little Ranger and a little ex-Ranger." he laughed and fire spurted out of his mask. *** "Morgan! Morgan! Wake-up! It's almost lunch!" Bess screamed as she dressed. "I can't believe we slept this late!" Morgan groaned and looked at her, "Honey, it's a day off. We don't have to do anything!" "Maybe so, but I always like the feel of the morning." she smiled and kissed him on the forhead. "Get dressed and I'll get you breakfast." she hopped out of the tent. "I am NOT a morning person!" he rolled over and went back to bed. ****************************************************************************** "Billy. Have you been able to figure out anything else?" asked Cestria. "No, dear. It appears that the monster is very near by. The Rangers also don't have any Powers. I don't know how they'll be able to defend themselves." "Oh, if only the Alien Rangers were still around." she frowned. "I guess we should be happy that we haven't needed them for fifty years." "I guess, Billy." she smiled, "Lets try to figure out a way to help them." said Billy's Aquitian wife. ****************************************************************************** "Bess." Kimberly hugged her new friend. "Oh I was so lonely!" she told her. "I'm sorry, Kim. We slept in. Morgan's was never into getting up on time." she smiled slyly, "How was your first breakfast?" "Ewww...Totally gross, and I thought dinner was gross last night." she pretended to gag. "Ya. Lunch is a little better. In the spring and summer Julia sometimes gets us some vegetables and fruit." "I guess we could have chosen a better time to get stuck here, eh?" she laughed. *** "Well, I think that about does it, Oliver." he pated the teen on his back, "Thanks for the help." "Ahh, it was my pleasure." he returned the pat, "Anytime, Danziger." "Right. I think you should go find your friend. She was looking pretty sad." "I can understand that. She's going through some hard things. I mean, she's not even a Power Ranger but she is still getting the treatment from Rita and Zedd." "I still can't get over the fact your a Power Ranger. I know Devon told us not to tell you anything but, ah, you guys are legends! "All that makes me happy is knowing that we helped the world." "You're to modest." Danziger laughed. He hardly ever laughed with anyone else, "You can wash your hands over there." he directed to a bucket of water. "Thanks." Tommy walked over and washed his hands. The oil and dirt came off immediatlly. 'Must be something in the water' he thought. Tommy looked around to try to find Kimberly. He saw her with Bess so he walked over. "Hey, Kim. Bess." he nodded hello. "Hey, Tommy. How did you sleep?" asked Bess. "I hope you were warm enough." "I slept well and was warm enough." he grinned at Kimberly, "Until SHE dumped water on my face." Bess looked confused. "It's the only way to wake that boy up!" she defended herself. "Okay. Maybe I should try that on Morgan." the smiled to herself. "Just don't tell him we offered that suggestion." Tommy laughed. "Oh, speaking of him! He's still not up! Please excuse me!" she hurried off to her tent. ******************************************************************************
