HUSK!

Or not. As of #23, they're fighting. It's the 'break up' that Wizard predicted. Take heart, though, it looks like it may only be temporary. I will not close this page down untill she marries Skin. (Although I'm certain someone said that about Phoenix and Wolverine!)

I kissed you because I liked you. not because you're my father ...OR because ah want a relationship like my parents had and not because ah secretly want ta drag ya back to the farm and raise li'l Starsmores! Ah like you, Jono-- And it don't matter none WHAT ya look like! If'n ya don't get it-- then that's too dang bad! In the future, ah'd like ya to respect my feelin's for what they are...

...not for what you need them to mean!

The Pool Table Scene ISSUE#4:

Husk shows the first signs of being attracted to Chamber. The White Queen catches her spying on him and Penance in the Biosphere. Chamber is in the process of 'taming' Penance, and Husk remarks "He does have a heart in there, after all."

ISSUE#5

Gateway sends Chamber to the girl's dorm to comfort Husk, who had just learned of the Legacy virus in 'X-Men: Prime'. He finds her stretched out on the pool table, beer in hand. He gets the beer away from her, and they come to the agreement that life is very unfair.

Chamber and Husk ISSUE #6

THE KISS! Between the end of issue five and the beginning of this one, Chamber manages to get Husk upstairs and stick her head under the tap. He escorts her to her room, and remarks that it's surprisingly messy. He suggests that she spend a little less time studying, and she responds 'Maybe I haven't found anything more interesting than studying... yet'. The next thing we see in Massachusetts is the girl's dorm blowing up.

ISSUE #7

Husk tries to thank Chamber for telling the teachers that the dorm incident was entirely his fault. She chooses her words poorly, though, and he jumps to the conclusion that she's really grateful that no one found out she kissed him because she thinks he's an ugly freak. Jubillee observes this encounter from a window.

ISSUE #11

Chamber kicks Omega Red's butt AFTER making sure Husk is all right and giving a nice speech about what'll happen if she isn't. Angelo wakes up for the end of this monologue, and reminds Chamber that there is fighting to be done. So... Chamber fights. Then, later, at the end of the issue, Husk tries to thank him for saving her. He responds that he did nothing any other member of the team wouldn't have done, but a thought bubble reveals what he really feels. Jubilee observes this from across the room.

Chamber with Husk GenX '96

Husk moons over Chamber on the way to Boston, and Jubilee starts making fun of her. Everyone else in the van tells Jubilee to shut up. Mondo tries to get Husk to talk about it.

ISSUE #23

Chamber goes to Kentucky with Husk to celebrate Thanksgiving. Her family's away when they get there, and he makes the remark that they left because they didn't want to stare at a 'freak'. Husk gets mad and points out that in a family with TWO 'freaks' Chamber would be treated just like anyone else. Things don't get any better when they go up to the attic and he finds a picture of her parents. He tells her that they can never be like that. She says that she doesn't want to. He doesn't believe her. She calls him a jerk and storms off. He packs up ane leaves. At the end, she looks sort of like she's crying.

ISSUE #24

While the girls are at Monet's for Christmas, Monet and Jubilee make it quite clear that Chamber and Husk have not been successful at keeping their "relationship--or lack thereof--between [themselves]"

AoA

In issue #1, they're already together, and they make an incredibly cute couple. The rest of the series, they don't get to see each other much because they're busy breaking into the core. In issue #3, Husk does a shower scene with Vincente, but that can be easily marked down as her being scared. In fact, she explained it that way herself. After that, Colossus took his wife and sister and ran out on the team, leaving them to get killed.
