Come on, writers! Luke and Mara HAVE to get together! I mean, they have sooo much chemistry, and they'd be so entertaining, cuz they'd always be fighting, and there would be so many possibilites as far as storylines go (Luke helps Mara discover her past, get over her past with the Emperor, have a kid, confront Callista...)... Mara and Lando? I don't think so!

I definately think that Mara Jade and Luke belong together because they are so different and yet silimar ...... and besides you have to admit Mara has more spark then Callista. You see through out the books how their friendship grows, and as for Lando...... nothing ever lasts with Lando! So even if they just remain really good friends , I'll be happy, aslong as Callista doesn't come back!!!!

Ahh, Mara Jade. That beautiful untamed witch who tried to kill our hero. Yet, she is my favorite SW character. Miss Guinevere was right about chemistry. They've got it. Just my story (Coruscant Party) to find out what I think. Ha ha. No one,I mean no one, is as funny, mean and absolutely perfect for Luke.

Maybe to some Callista was not right for Luke, but compared to Mara it's Either Callista or nothing. Mara does not AT ALL strike me as one to get married or even fall in love, and if she did It would not be with a jedi. Mara likes to be on top, and to have a friend/husband/lover who is "better" or "more powerful" would kill her ego.

Mara Jade is my second favorite character next to Luke, of course! She is strong, mysterious, hard edged, yet with emotions. She is loyal and strong in the Force. Ever since Zahn's trilogy I have thought and wished that the writer's would put her with Luke. She is the only one who can truly understand him and his connection to the force, as well as the only woman who is strong enough to work with him as well. I just have to say that any Mara and Luke fans have to read Visions of the Future.

I think that Luke needs neither Mara Jade or Callista, but someone else. At times, I get the impression that these two are really in love with the power that Luke has. He really needs someone who is more opposite him in character. Someone who can, but doesn't need, a lightsaber to bring home their point, (ie as Obi-Wan says "there are alternatives to fighting", perhaps one can be so strong in the force they can bring others to see their point of view.) I think this character should have a strong sense of the good in everyone and the good in life, love and family. A strong bond with animals, all growing things, and all forms of life. I think he needs a home, (even Yoda had his hut.) He needs someone with patience, and a certain calmness, and the ability to love farmboy Luke and not Jedi Master Luke. In otherwords, just Luke.
