I couldn't belive it when I found this site! I remember getting up at like 8:00 on Sat. mornings just to watch JEM.As the years past, I totally forgot about Jem. Now,being older, I love finding things that remind me of my childhood. I've fallen head first into everything 80's. It's so weird that I found this website when I put in a search for Jem and the Hollograms on AltaVista! I was just talking to a friend about cartoons we used to watch as a kid, and I remembered Jem for no good reason, and just for curiosity's sake, I decided to look it up...Like pinching myself to make sure the show actually existed. I felt like I made up the memory of it ever existing. Like you, I was about 5 years old when the cartoon came out, I'm 21 now. I was sort of a tomboy growing up with 2 older (meaner) brothers...so I got stuck watching what they watched on Super Sunday: G.I. Joe, and Transformers. So I know what you ment by the boy cartoons! But I learned to love them too. I even played with G.I. Joes and Transformers! Then came Jem and the Hollowgrams, on in the same time slot. They had no choice but to watch with me. They even learned to love the show as well...if you can believe that. But I think my greatest and best memory of Jem and the Hollograms was in January 1988. Like you, my family wasn't exactly made of money. I begged and begged my mom for any 1 of the Hollograms for Christmas, so did my younger sis. My mom didn't think acquiring at least one of the dolls was even possible. Our Christmas was a few days later then the traditional time to give out presents. However, the wait paid off extremely pleasurably. I opened up only 3 packages on Christmas; so did my sister. I received a Jem/Jerrica, Kimber, and Rio doll. My sister received a Shana, Pizzaz, and Roxy doll. Oh, my god! We were so thrilled we were in tears! I think my mom and dad were too! I think they enjoyed seeing us happy more than we enjoyed our gifts! Not unlike you, me and my sis totally annihilated the dolls from vigorous use! I think we took them dolls every where. Jem was like my first girlie toy I ever had, not BimboBarbie. Barbie wasn't even the second! It was Strawberry Shortcake---I bet you don't remember those dolls! Anyways, thankx for putting up the dope website...I'm not exactly looking to purchase or to begin a collection. But even so, the site's stellar for nostalgic purposes! Thanx again! ToLani

Result!! last weekend I got hold of a 1st edition Jemdoll with the flashing earrings and a Danse!! £1 each!!! and in brilliant (but nude) condition! I wanted a jem doll since i was SIX (i'm 21 now!) Result! I was also checking out the "related merchandise" section of this site- and I didn't see any mentions of a double (audio) story cassette "marbo-the rock movie", "stage management" "two timing" and "rockin roadsters" - in fact i didn't know it exsisted until i picked it up today in a charity shop for 50p (gloat!) I love the jemdolls as they looked so cool, they all had fab hair- and there was a wicked tv show to go with the whole thing! Oh, yeah, the songs were excellent as well!! I recently got a craving to see some of my old Jem stuff and to hear the songs, and I, not unlike any real fan, was discouraged with the deterioration that comes from years of storage. I was thrilled to see this site, and all the others dedecated to Jem the Holigrams. The only thing I'd like to see more would be the actual shows back on the air. I've recently started hassling "Cartoon Network" about adding it, but haven't recieved any response. Whe I was little I showed no interest in Barbie dolls because she didn't seem smart or genuine. I was watching Sunday morning cartoons one day and spotted a fifteen minute segment about Jem after a lame cartoon about monster trucks or something (one for he boys and one for the girls...I get it) and was hooked. I watched Jem religiously following that! My family didn't have a lot of money but I used every dime I earned from my paper route to buy more Jem stuff. I amassed a huge collection and spent man hours playing with those dolls. They were so beautiful and their bodies were so much more realistic than Barbie's!! I think that's so important for a little girl to see. Anyway, I gave all of my dolls away and have regretted it since. I'm building u my collection again slowly (paper routes won't cut it anymore, I guess!) This is a fantastic site! If anyone who did work on Hasbro's project is out there, thank you for making these dolls. They were fantastic!

I love Jem & The Holograms. I knew all the songs by heart and I had almost all the dolls but in 1992 my family had to move to Central America and we sent all our furniture, toys, etc... on a boat. I was so excited on the day our boxes were supposed to arr ve becasue I was going to give my Barbie collection to my cousin and I was gonna kep my Jem dolls and keep looking for more to buy from people. Wow...when I first stumbled upon your site, I hardly could even remember Jem's name. But then it was like I could feel these old 80's memories in my mind loosen up...now I remember Jem and how she was really Jerrica, and the Misfits...ah, memories. I got y Jem doll with the flashing earrings (although I don't remember them ever flashing) from Santa, and the same Christmas I got the roadster with the radio and the pink roof that was always falling off...I still have the Jem doll. Pink flakes have come off f her dress, the belt is pretty fuzzy, and heaven only knows where her tights, shoes, and bracelet are. But seeing your site has brought all my Jem memories back...I loved that doll and the cartoon. Thanks for bringing the memories back.

Hi, I absolutely adore this Jem page. I love Jem. I especially love the Jem artwork that is featured on the doll boxes. I started watching Jem when I was about 3 or 4 years old. I'm 15 now, you do the math. Jem is the BEST band ever. I am a in high school and have loved Jem since she came out in the 80s. I was three or four when Jem first came on the air. Me and my older sister had all of the Jem/Jerricas, we had 2 Synergys, some of the playsets. The only Mi fit I had was Jetta. She is my favroite Misfit. I love her accent Jetta rocks! I am a SERIOUS Jem collector I have several NRFB Jem & the Holograms, and Misfit dolls. I have other Truly Outrageous Jem itmes. I have several cassettes. The coolest cassette s the one from the Video doll. I LOVE the song Come On In from the Rock Fashion Book episode. Email me if you want to talk about Jem, the Misfits, or the Stingers. Out of all of the guys that were on Jem my favroite Jem guy always has been and always will be Riot the leader of the Stingers. Jem is the best cartoon ever invented - and I'll admit this, but I'm a guy! I think that the best ever Jem songs are, "WHEN IT'S ONLY ME AND THE MUSIC", "BACK IN SHAPE", "COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE", and "LOVE IS DOING IT TO ME". The Misfits' best songs are most definately "CONGRATULATIONS", "I LOVE A SCANDAL", and "IT TAKES ALOT". The best Holograms I think were Aja and Kimber, while Stormer was my favourite Misfit. I wish that the cartoon was back on tv cos I've only seen up to the SCANDAL episode (Ray and Jetta's 3rd episodes) and would love to see the rest. STAY COOL JEM BABES!!!!

I had a Jem bed that converted into a piano. The piano really played. I don't know what happened to the set. All I had left after a while where the speakers and the pillow and blanket.:( I would like to find this set again to atleast see what it looke like. I remember watching Jem every morning while my older brother got ready for school. I must have been about 4. I loved that show.

This website really kicks a$$! I am 22 now, and I am a senior at ASU *Arizona State* and I really miss Jem. When I was in the Fith grade I had all of the Misfits ...because I thought they were really cool. I knew all of their real manes, I knew all of t eir songs and I used to pretend to be Eric Raymond when we'd play "Jem" at Recess. Well, my mom was worried about me having "dolls" so she made me give them away to my cousin. So, 11 years later I found this store here in Phoenix called Pop Culture Class cs, that carries all toys from the 80's. OK this store was soooo cool. I also was a big He-man Freak, so they had them as well. I asked the sales clerk, figuring I had nothing to loose...if she had any Jem dolls. She reached under the counter and pulle out a plastic bag containing: Pizzaz, Roxy, Clash, Jetta, Falsh 'n' Sizzle Jem, Video, Danse, RAYA, and Synergy...$100 for the lot! all had their instruments (exept Raya!) Tapes and Orig Clothing, and shoes! So that was lucky...and thanks to all of you onderful Fans and Collectors, I have found the Remaining Figures to complete my collection. Keep pushing for the Convention!!! well, this is so-long for now...we'll meet again somehow until the day we do; I will be thinking of you.

You have a great site! It is well laid out and fun to look at. I like how you used scans of the drawings from the boxes of the Holograms and Misfits. You should put scans from the back of the clothes boxes too in the clothes section of the site. Your ite brought back many fond memories. My sister and I collected most of the dolls when we were younger and a lot of the clothes. I still love them and it's fun to see them still "alive" on the 'net.

Gawd, I'm 21 and I still have my Jem dolls!!! (I won't mention the fact that most of them are tied up in an interesting bdsm/bondage style) Still in my drawer at home are Jem (Got sick of her hair and cute it short), Roxy, Stormer, Aja, Shana, and Kimberly. Unfortunately I no longer have all of their accessories, but I still have most all of their shoes, and clothes. I think that I might even still have Roxy's studded arm cuff. Stormer was always my favorite, but I can't really remember the cartoon too well. (I have a bad memory) I agree that they had the best, and most realistic bodies. The body design seems nearly perfect. They're poseable and durable plus they look great. Oh how I miss the cartoon!!! Dunno why, but I always liked the Misfits better than the Holograms. Then again, I'm drawn to the darkside... Ps. This is a great page!!! Love it!!!

Love this! Chicklet is Truly OutRAGeous! I only got the first edition dolls, and my brother got Rio (spoiled brat, ruined the cassette before we listened to it). Then, my folks got me the board game, with all the little fashion cards--those were truly coo ! However, after the 1st season, our area stopped running the show, so I have no clue who these other characters are!?! Looking back now, I can't believe how politically correct Hasbro was... Those second release dolls are weak...Jem would NEVER have that simpering smile! I remember those clothes gave me so much trouble. Belts would just not stay on. Anyway, thank you thank you thank you. I love the page, love the scans, love the history page!

your homepage is great the reason i love jem so much and especially the dolls is cause I played with her and not Barbie when I was younger.
