Buffy refers to Xander's previous experience with a teacher who turned out to be a giant praying mantis in the season 1 episode Teacher's Pet. Buffy: Possibly something from the Ringwald oeuvre.

Molly Ringwald was one of the 80's brat pack actors and appeared in such teen films as Pretty in Pink and the Breakfast Club. Xander: I am the bug man coo coo ka choo.

Ok, I know that the Beatles lyric is supposed to be spelled "goo goo ga joob" but according to closed captioning, Xander says coo coo ka choo. And no it doesn't make any sense for this to be a reference to "Mrs. Robinson". Spelling of nonsense words will vary.

Spike: Aren't you a "throw himself to the lions" sort of sap these days.

A reference to the Roman practice of throwing Christians (and other enemies) into an arena with hungry lions. Angel's willingness to sacrifice himself for Buffy and the others is being likened to willingly being eaten by the lions to distract their attention and sate their hunger. Spike: If Dru dies your little Rebecca of Sunnyhell Farm and all her mates are spared her coming out party.
